First Choice Emergency Room is a Flower Mound, Texas-based company that operates freestanding emergency rooms.[2] It is the largest and oldest such provider in the US.[3]

Magazine ranked First Choice as one of the fastest growing businesses in the U.S. in 2010, 2011, and 2012 under CEO and Founder, Jack Novak.[4] The company's current growth plans are backed by Sterling Partners, which has invested $59 million in the business.[5] First Choice generated $98.5 million in revenue in 2012, up from $41.3 million in 2009.[4] The company has 52 locations.[6][7]

In 2002, First Choice was founded by Dr. Jack Novak. Thomas S. Hall is the company’s current CEO.[8] First Choice Emergency Room is owned and operated by Adeptus Health.[9]

Service

First Choice ER operates freestanding emergency rooms in Texas and Colorado. All of the company’s doctors are board-certified.[4]

Inc. Magazine ranked First Choice the ninety-third fastest growing business in the Dallas Metro Area in 2013, ranking as the #2798 fastest growing business overall that year.[4] The company was named as one of the 2013 Best Companies to Work for in Texas.[2][5] In 2013, First Choice was recognized as the 2013 Guardian of Excellence Award winner.[13]
