Fit for an Autopsy is an American deathcore band from New Jersey, formed in 2008. The band consists of guitarists Will Putney, Pat Sheridan and Tim Howley, drummer Josean Orta, bassist Shane Slade and vocalist Joe Badolato. Fit for an Autopsy is currently signed to eOne Music[1] and has released three studio albums since formation.

History

The band released their first demo in 2008, followed a year later by the group's first EP, Hell on Earth.[2] In 2011, Fit for an Autopsy released their first full-length LP, The Process of Human Extermination.[3][4]

In September 2013 the band released their most recent album, Hellbound.[1] Less than a year later, in April 2014, the band announced that vocalist Nate Johnson would be leaving the band. Greg Wilburn of the Devastated was immediately named as Johnson's temporary replacement.[5]

As of early 2015, the band has announced the departure of Greg Wilburn and their new vocalist, Joe Badolato. Along with this, they have announced that they are in the writing process for their third album. Fit For an Autopsy's next album, named Absolute Hope Absolute Hell, is due to be released on October 2, 2015.[6]

Touring

Fit for an Autopsy has toured in support of Aborted, Whitechapel, Suicide Silence, Emmure, DevilDriver, Carnifex, among other major extreme metal acts.[7]
