Flora of the east of the Sierra Nevada region

The flora of the east of the Sierra Nevada region is characterized by being adapted to dry to desert conditions of the rain shadow of the Sierra Nevada range. The region is generally defined as being in the Great Basin region, between the Sierra Nevada range and the White Mountains and Inyo Mountains.[1]:42–43
