Florence Network
The Florence Network for Nursing and Midwifery is an international network of 38 universities' Schools of Nursing and Midwifery in Bachelor Education in 17 European countries.
Primary goals
The group's main goals are to:
- Make nursing and midwifery more visible in Europe
- Exchange students and teachers
- Compare curricula and improve quality of nursing and midwifery education
- Co-operate in research in the nursing and midwifery works field
- Develop European projects and intensive programs
- Participate in realisation of the Bologna declaration in Europe
- Get accreditation for nursing and midwifery education in Europe
- Use the Erasmus Programme
- Promote long term student and teacher exchange
- Assist financing of projects and disseminations

Annual Meeting
Every year one of the partners - institutions of higher educations (Universities of applied Sciences) is the host institution for the Annual Meeting.

- in 2008 Masraryk University in Brno - Czech Republic
- In 2009 The Hague University in The Hague, The Netherlands
- In 2010 the host of the 18th Annual Meeting was held at the EGE University in Izmir Turkey.
