Flowers (The Emotions album)
Flowers is a 1976 album by American vocal group The Emotions. This is the third album by the group. This album was released by Columbia on May 11, 1976 in the united states and August 2, 1976 in the united kingdom, The album's producers were Maurice White and Charles Stepney.
History
The album was the group's first for Columbia Records and their first to include production by Maurice White of Earth, Wind and Fire. The album peaked at #5 on the R&B albums chart. It also reached #45 on the Billboard 200. Two singles where released from the album, the title track and "I Don't Wanna Lose Your Love". The title track peaked at #16 on the Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart and #87 on the Billboard Hot 100. "I Don't Wanna Lose Your Love" peaked at #13 on the Hot Soul Singles chart and #51 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also reached #40 on the UK Singles Chart. The album was certified Gold in the US by the Recording Industry Association of America.[3] The album was digitally remastered with an 8 page booklet and liner notes and reissued on CD with a bonus track 2012 by Gold Legion a reissue label based in the USA.
