The eight teams were divided into two groups of three teams. The two top teams from each group played the semifinals before the final match.

Group A
- Libya disqualified from the tournament due to their attack on the Egyptian team during the match . The match were abandoned
- Egypt withdraw from the tournament due to the attack of the Libyan players on the Egyptian team and in protest of the bad intervention of the Algerian security against the Egyptian team
