For the Cool in You (song)
"For the Cool in You" is a song co-written,[3] co-produced[4] and performed by American contemporary R&B singer Babyface. It is the opening track on his third studio album of the same name and was issued as the album's first single. The song peaked at #81 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1993.[5]
The song is also best known for being played in a 1993 episode of the classic ABC/CBS sitcom Family Matters, as the song that Stefan Urquelle (Jaleel White) and Laura Winslow (Kellie Shanygne Williams) danced to in "Dr. Urkel and Mr. Cool" (Season 5, episode 8).
In 1994, "For the Cool in You" was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best R&B Vocal Performance, Male; but lost to "A Song for You" by Ray Charles.[6]
