Frédéric Jousset (born 3 May 1970) is a French entrepreneur. He is the founder and co-chairman of Webhelp, the European number 3 in the field of outsourced customer experience.
Life
After graduating at HEC in 1992, Frédéric Jousset started his career at L’Oréal in 1994 and filled several marketing and commercial responsibilities in the midst of the Professional department. Four years later he founded his first enterprise, Clientis SA, based on a management software package of outlets, for networks of hair and beauty salons.
In 1999 he resold it in order to join the American advisory bureau for the Bain & Company strategy, where he specialized in private equity.[1]
There he met Olivier Duha, with whom he would very soon found Webhelp.
He also did military service, as sub-lieutenant of the 6th parachute regiment of the marine infantry at Mont-de-Marsan. Afterwards, in 2007-2008, he sat in on the 60th national session of the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN). Today he is colonel of the « réserve citoyenne » in the air force.
From 2007 until 2009 he was a teacher at Sciences Po. Today he is visiting professor at the HEC group, where he intervenes in the field of customer relations.
Career
In June 2000, together with Olivier Duha, he founds Webhelp SAS, which at first offered solutions for internet research to enterprises and the general public, and later on quickly became a leader of call centers and customer relations solutions. Their ambition was to become the model enterprise in Europe in the field of customer relations. This year the Group celebrates its 15 years anniversary and has become one of the major actors of call centers and the outsourcing of customer relations (2nd place in France and 7th in Europe). The group consists of more than 35 000 collaborators and is aiming at a turnover of €575 m. Webhelp is present in 21 countries including France, Morocco, Algeria, Romania, Belgium, Madagascar, United Kingdom, South Africa, the Netherlands, India, Portugal, Italy, and Germany. Since its creation the enterprise has grown exceptionally, with its turnover multiplied by twenty in ten years time.[2][3]
Trade union commitment
Frédéric Jousset is also committed to the employers’ organisation as board member of the French trade union of contact centres Syndicat des professionels des centres de contacts (SP2C).[4] In addition, he is a member of Medef and of Croissance Plus, which was presided by Olivier Duha from 2011 until 2013.
Commitment to the arts
Impassioned by contemporary art, Frédéric Jousset is a recognized collector and strongly involved in the cultural scene. He has been the head of the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris between 2011 and 2014 and has currently, since 2007, a chair on the acquisition board of the Louvre Museum of which he is one of the youngest patrons. He took part in the funding of an excavation site in Sudan, in the elaboration of a children’s version of the museum website and in the making of a series of conferences on the history of art at the La Santé Prison and the prison of Poissy. In this context, he also helped acquiring the painting The Flight into Egypt (Poussin painting) of Nicolas Poussin, with 17 other patrons. His various supporting projects have earned him a seat on the superior patronage council of the Louvre and the distinction of grand patron of the museum.[5]
Extreme Sports
Sportsman and thrill seeker, after climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in 1997 and the Mont Blanc in 2004, he participated in the climbing of Shishapangma, 8013 metres and 14th summit of the world in 2010 in China. In 2015, he faced the challenge of the Stockholm Marathon which he finished in 3 hours, 38 minutes.
