François Dagognet

François Dagognet (French: [dagɔɲɛ]; April 24, 1924 – October 2, 2015) was a French philosopher.[1]

François Dagognet was born in Langres. He studied both science and philosophy, and was a student of Georges Canguilhem. He was professor of philosophy at the University of Lyon before becoming professor of philosophy at Pantheon-Sorbonne University.[2]

Dagognet has written extensively on the philosophy of the body.
