France-Amérique
France-Amérique is a French language newspaper published in the United States, which is published by the media group France-Amérique LLC.
History
France-Amérique was founded in 1943 by supporters of la France libre. In the 1960s, it became the property of the French daily, Le Figaro, as a weekly international edition. FrancePress acquired France-Amérique in 2007, and merged it with their newspaper, the Journal Français, which is the largest French monthly newspaper published in the United States since 1978. France-Amérique was published in a bi-monthly format retaining the title of France-Amérique. In May 2008, France-Amérique became monthly and adopted a magazine format. Since June 2013, the newspaper is owned by the media company France-Amérique.
