Francesco Modesto (born 16 February 1982 in Crotone) is an Italian footballer who plays as a winger for Crotone.

Career

In 2001–02 season, he was signed by A.C. Venezia and loaned back to Cosenza. In August 2002, After Maurizio Zamparini purchased Palermo, he followed team-mate traveled to the Sicily side.

In January 2010 Genoa's winger officially went on loan to Bologna.

Parma

On 3 January 2011, Genoa's full share in Modesto was transferred to Parma in a move which saw Parma's share in Luca Antonelli go the other way and the exchange of the half registrations of Raffaele Palladino and Alberto Paloschi. Genoa also paid €5.85M.[1] Modesto signed a contract until 2014 and became a regular as a left-sided midfielder in Franco Colomba's 4–4–2 in the spring of 2011.

Loan to Pescara

Modesto signed on loan to Serie A newcomers for the 2012–13 season, Pescara, on the final day of the 2012 summer transfer window.[2]
