Francis Lord

Francis Lord (1812 21 December 1897) was an Australian politician.

He was born in Sydney to ex-convict Simeon Lord, an entrepreneur and later magistrate. He ran a store at Bathurst before becoming a pastoralist at Cumnock. On 6 April 1839 he married Mary Ainsworth (or Hanesworth), with whom he had seven children. He was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council from 1843 to 1848, and again from 1856 to 1861 and from 1864 to 1893. Lord died at Rydal in 1897.[1]
