Club career

Born in Córdoba, Andalusia, Cruz finished his graduation with local Córdoba CF, making his senior debuts with the reserves in 2008–09.

On 17 October 2012 Cruz made his official debut with Córdoba's first team, in a 1–0 away win against CE Sabadell FC, for the season's Copa del Rey. His first league appearance came on 6 January 2013, in a 0–0 away draw against CD Mirandés[1] He appeared in 33 matches during the campaign, as the Andalusians were promoted to La Liga after a 42-year absence.

On 15 July 2014, Cruz renewed his link with the Blanquiverdes for three seasons,[2] and was immediately loaned to AD Alcorcón also in the second level.[3] In August of the following year he rescinded with his parent club and moved to fellow league team UE Llagostera.[4]
