Frank Savickas
Frank D. Savickas (May 14, 1935 – May 14, 2001) was an American politician.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Savickas went to Wilson Junior College (now Kennedy-King College) in Chicago. He served in the Illinois House of Representatives 1967-1971 as a Democrat and then in the Illinois State Senate from 1971 until his retirement in 1992. He died in Venice, Florida on his birthday. He was the first person of Lithuanian descent to serve in the Illinois General Assembly.[1][2] For years, he was the Democratic Committeeman of Chicago's 15th Ward.
