Frank B. Wood was the Iowa State Senator from the 42nd District. The activities director and assistant principal at North Scott High School in Eldridge. Wood served in the Iowa Senate 2005 – 2009.
Wood served on several committees in the Iowa Senate - the Appropriations committee; the Education committee; the Human Resources committee; the Natural Resources and Environment committee; and the State Government committee. He was chair of the Education Appropriations Subcommittee.
Wood was elected in 2004 with 15,500 votes (51%), defeating Republican opponent Bryan J. Sievers.[2] He was an unsuccessful candidate for re-election in the Iowa Senate elections, 2008. Wood previously served as mayor of Eldridge.
