Franz Staudegger (12 February 1921 – 16 May 1995) was an Oberscharführer in the Waffen-SS. A Tiger I tank commander, he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.
War experience
For his actions in the Battle of Kursk, Staudegger was awarded the Knight's Cross.
Staudegger ended the war in the 501st SS Heavy Panzer Battalion which fought in the Battle of Normandy in 1944, and was later involved in the Battle of the Bulge.
