Fred Bankhead

Fred Bankhead was a former player for the Negro Leagues.[1] He received 490,000 votes for third place in the 1939 East West All Star Game.[2] In 1942, Bankhead made the East-West All Star Game.[3]

Bankhead joined the Negro leagues in 1936.[4] He made his debut playing as a reserve infielder for the team named the Birmingham Black Barons.[5] Bankhead lived from 1912 to 1972. He played second base for the Memphis Red Sox.[6]
