Fred Okengo Matiang'i a former headboy(born Borabu, Nyamira District) is a Kenyan academic who was nominated by President Uhuru Kenyatta as Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication and Technology on 23 April 2013.[1][2] On 24 November 2015, the President appointed him as the cabinet secretary for Education. He is a technocrat and is expected to manage the endless teachers' strikes.
