F. Marks was an English first-class cricketer who played one match for Somerset County Cricket Club in 1884.[1]
Notes on identity
The cricket website ESPNcricinfo identifies Marks with Frederick David Marks, born 5 February 1867, at "Mount Wise, Plymouth, Devon", and with an unknown date of death.[2] However, the England and Wales birth and death records make it clear that the only person of this name in the records died at the age of 16 in 1883. The more cautious Cricketarchive website refers to him only as F. Marks with no known dates of birth or death.[1]
