Finch made a single first-class appearance for Kent against Yorkshire in 1862 at Swifts Park, Cranbrook.[1] In a match which Kent won by 12 runs, Finch was run out for a single run in Kent's first-innings, while in their second-innings he was dismissed for the same score by William Slinn.[2] This was his only major appearance for Kent.
