Fudêncio e Seus Amigos (lit. Fudêncio and his friends) is a Brazilian adult animated sitcom created by Thiago Martins, Marco Pavão and Flávia Boggio for MTV Brasil.
The plot consists on adult-themed, intentionally shocking but funny stories involving a group of five 9 years-old school friends including a punk boy who wears no clothes, a politically correct but extremely unlucky fruit-boy, a drug-addicted depressed girl and a witty transsexual girl. Fudêncio e Seus Amigos became popular among Brazilian youngsters for a short period for its gallows humour style and cameos from various personalities.[1]
A total of six seasons featuring 179 episodes was produced and directly aired in Brazil from August 23, 2005 to August 25, 2011.[2]
Characters
- Fudêncio - An evil, macabre, freaky-looking boy who is always naked and has thumbtacks nailed to his head. He likes to pester other characters, specially Conrado the fruit-boy. He is blessed with all the luck as nothing bad happens to him and he always unfairly acclaimed and adored by the others, as opposing to Conrado. Fudêncio says no words but a "mee-mee-mee" babbling, which despite of not being understandable, seems to carry meanings for all the other characters.
- Conrado - A generally well intentioned, pro-justice, politically correct boy who is the most common target of Fudêncio's wickedness. He is clearly shown having good intentions and being righter and smarter than the other characters (although sometimes he is too much ambitious or aims to take advantage for certain situations), he has always a unfair end in the episodes, as he gets arrested or fails in his just objectives, losing all his glory and acclamation for Fudêncio. He is orange and has a persimmon head that is often confused with a tomato one. Although Fudêncio is thought to be the protagonist, most of episodes are focused on Conrado, particularly the old ones.
- Popoto - A 34-year-old fat, stupid and completely witless character. He is probably mentally-ill, what makes him look like a young child. He has green hair and wears a Che Guevara T-Shirt. He is also known for having repeated numerous years at school.
- Funérea - A gothic, drug-addicted, depressed, sarcastic girl. She despises and hates everything and everyone and finds life unbearable. She reminds Gaz of Invader Zim.
- Safeno - A pale, profoundly sick boy who suffers from numerous diseases and is said to be very close to death. He is always carrying a stretcher supplied with a serum.
- Neguinho - A black, lately rough-voiced boy who is frequently mentioned when someone makes racist jokes.
- Zé Maria - An apparently transsexual blond, feminine girl who is frequently subject of thriller about her true gender.
- Teacher Cudi - The ugly, red-haired, old female teacher of Fudêncio, Conrado and the other characters in the primary school. She is very rude and often gives negatives pro Conrado and other students, although she express she likes Fudêncio.
- Officers - Two incompetent policemen working in a police station near the primary school. They frequently arrest Conrado for unfair reasons after he tries to save or helps something or someone.
