Furnace, Carmarthenshire

Furnace (or Welsh Ffwrnes) is a village and an area of the town of Llanelli in the county of Carmarthenshire, Wales.[1] Furnace is named after the furnace built by Alexander Raby before the village was actually established. The main furnace still remains and is open to the public as a local heritage site.[2]

It is under the authority of Carmarthenshire County Council and Llanelli Rural Council.[3]
