Furze Platt Senior School is a mixed secondary school with academy status in Maidenhead.
The school draws pupils from across Maidenhead, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.
It was used as a filming location on the ITV television series Forever Green.
2013 GCSE results:
73% of students achieved 5A* to C grades including English and Maths. 79% of girls achieved 5A* to C including English and Maths. 71% of boys achieved 5A* to C including English and Maths. These results were a school record and compare very favourable with other schools in the town.
Sixth Form
The school's Sixth Form is entirely integrated into school life, yet benefits from a private sixth form area with a study area with computer facilities, study work rooms, seminar rooms and a communal common room. Examination results have been rated by the independent value added ALPS system as very good or excellent for the past 5 years.
The sixth form is led by the Head of Sixth Form. There are many opportunities for students to take on leadership roles within the school. OFSTED rated the pastoral care given to students as excellent.
The school has a strong careers education scheme and excellent links with universities across the country. Students regularly progress to Oxbridge and Russell Group universities.
IT and Mathematics
As a specialist mathematics and computing school, maths and IT are recognised strengths of the school. The school is successful in local, regional and national mathematics challenges run by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust.
A new Mathematics teaching block was opened in September 2013 further extending opportunities.
Greenpower

The school is led by Headteacher – Ms. T White, 2 Deputy Headteachers – Mr. G Bown and Mr. E Towill.[2]
School Houses
The School Home system consists of eight competing houses named after towns on the River Thames. The house structure ensures high quality pastoral care and promotes sporting, cultural, musical, and academic projects. Home points are then added together at the culmination of the school year (and each school term) to declare the winner of the Home Cup.
