History
In 2012, Dr Odum Ikechukwu and Emmanuel Uche founded and launched Fusion Mobile, an m-Learning startup with an aim to mimic Khan Academy’s success by delivering a wide range of m-Learning materials, from interactive quizzes to Mobile Video Lectures across Nigeria.[1] After teaching a couple of students preparing for West African Examination Council (WAEC) Exams and Joint Admission Matriculation Board Exams (JAMB), he clearly observed that the students, especially those who attended government schools didn't know much and had a poor academic background. He started researching on ways to help bring them quality education to the masses. During the course of his research, he stumbled on Khan Academy and knew a modification of Khans method would go a long way to solve the problem. His platform would not run on YouTube or on the internet as the students in Nigeria have little or no access to the internet to stream videos. This was the birth of Fusion Mobile.

Educational Impact
Many companies and foundations and the Ministry of Education, Nigeria commend Fusion Mobile's model of online education on its technological ingenuity and its ability to introduce different educational dynamics. However, both the cost and the realistic implementation of this ideal has been a problem. Fusion Mobile relies on support from individuals and associations to fund the company. The Fusion Mobile m-learning platform is now in the market at N8000 i.e. about $50.[2]
