Fxtv is a program that allows a person to watch and record television through a PC with a Brooktree 848 compatible TV tuner via the bktr(4) driver. Fxtv works on Unix-like operating systems, and is licensed under the GPL.
It does not favour any particular desktop environment. It works using the X Window System XImage or the accelerated feature Direct Graphics Access (DGA). The interface to Fxtv is minimalistic.
