Gabrielle Dennis
Gabrielle Dennis is an American TV/Film actress and Comedian. Known mostly for her work in cable television (The Game,[1] Blue Mountain State, The Underground) Gabrielle currently stars in the Fox medical drama "Rosewood" alongside Morris Chestnut.
Career
Gabrielle attended The School for Creative and Performing Arts as a dance and theater major and later went on to graduate with honors from Howard University.[2] Dennis' first acting roles came in the television movie A Mom for Christmas, starring Olivia Newton-John followed by A Rage in Harlem starring Gregory Hines, Robin Given, and Forest Whitaker. Both roles where extremely small. From 1998 to 2000, she served as a co-host on Teen Summit, a teenage talk show that aired on BET. In 2006, she appeared on Damon Wayans' sketch comedy show The Underground .
In 2008, Dennis won the role of Janay, friend of Malik Wright (Hosea Chanchez) and soon-to-be live-in girlfriend of Derwin Davis (Pooch Hall) on the CW series The Game. After the show was cancelled on The CW the fans campaigned for its return where Gabrielle was able to reprise her role for 2 more seasons on the shows new network BET. During her stint on The Game she landed roles in the direct-to-DVD film Bring It On: Fight to the Finish starring Christina Milan and Holland Roden as well as The Marc Pease Experience starring Ben Stiller. Additionally she played Denise Roy on Spike TV's Blue Mountain State as Craig Shilo's girlfriend (Sam Jones). Her character was later removed from the series after Jones was written out due to his arrest on drug charges .
Gabrielle has since guest-starred on several shows including Franklin & Bash, Bones, Justified, and Baby Daddy. In 2015 she landed the role of Pippy, the Toxicology expert and lesbian sister of Beaumont Rosewood (Chestnut) for Fox's Rosewood. Dennis' hobbies include singing, songwriting, and dancing. She currently resides in Los Angeles where she performs stand up in between acting gigs.
