Gadre Marine Export is one of the leading marine export company in India.[4][5][6]

History

Gadre Marine Export is a Private Company incorporated on 12 May 1994, as Indian Non-Government Company and is registered at Registrar of Companies, Pune.[7] It was founded by Mr. Deepak Gadre in 1978, as a processing and packaging unit of frozen marine products. It started India's first Surimi manufacturing plant in 1994.[8] As of now the company has an authorized total capital of Rs.25,00,00,000 and paid-up capital of Rs. 24,40,00,000.[9]

Seafood

The company recently entered into the packaged frozen premium seafood segment, by launching its own brand Gadre Premium Seafood.[10] The company is aiming to make its turnover around Rs.650 crore, which was last year around Rs.525 crore from its six plants (two in Gujarat, three in Maharashtra and one in Karnataka.)[11][12]

The company has signed chef Vikas Khanna as the brand ambassador for their processing and packaging unit of frozen marine products such as shrimps, squids, cuttlefish and other fin-fish, which the company claims to be now the third largest Surimi manufacturer in the world.[13][14][15][16][17][18] In 2015 the company has signed OnAds Communications as their creative digital partner.[19][20][21][22][23]
