Galin Ivanov (born 6 April 1975) is a Bulgarian former football player, left back. He began his career playing for CSKA Sofia in the Bulgarian A Professional Football Group.[1] For one season, he played for D.C. United of Major League Soccer.[2] Now he is coach in Ludogorets Razgrad's youth team.[3]
Manager career
CSKA Sofia
In March 2015, Ivanov was appointed as manager of the senior team.[4]
On 24 March 2015 Galin was named as caretaker coach of CSKA after Stoycho Mladenov resigned.[5] He was replaced by Luboslav Penev in late April 2015 due to CSKA's continued poor run of games in the A PFG.[6]
Ludogorets Razgrad
In the summer of 2015 Ivanov took Ludogorets Razgrad U-19 team who plays in the Elite Youth League of Bulgaria. On 6 December 2015 he take care of Ludogorets Razgrad II team after the resignation of Veselin Branimirov just for one game, but on 7 January 2016 he was appointed as permament manager who will lead the team in B Group.[7]
