Ganj-e Qarun (Persian: گنج قارون) is a 1965 Iranian film directed by Siamak Yasemi and starring Mohammad Ali Fardin.

Background

In Persian folklore, Ganj-e Qarun (Persian: Qarun_Treasure) is a symbol of major wealth.[1] Qarun (Persian:قارون) is the same biblical figure, Korah who lived contemporary to Moses.

Plot

Ali Bigham is a happy-go-lucky man who accidentally saves a rich oldman's life named Qarun who is attempting suicide. Qarun is a very wealthy man but also a sad and alone one who has no one to live with. Ali takes Qarun to his home and realizes that he is his own father that had left him and his mother years ago. At first Ali rejects his father, but during the film Qarun can gain his own son's attention .
