Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties, known as Garfield 2 in Europe (commonly misspelled as Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties by GameRankings, Metacritic and GameFAQs), is a video game for the Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Windows on August 25, 2006. It was based on the movie Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties. The title is an obvious reference to that of the novel A Tale of Two Cities.
Story
The story is the same plot as Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties, but there are a few differences. The game starts with a quick tutorial. Then the real game starts in the garden. You must help Garfield defeat Dargis by completing missions in four areas of the castle. In the Nintendo DS version, Prince invites Garfield to a lasagna dinner at his castle.
Final Boss (PlayStation 2 and Windows)
- Dargis
Missions (PlayStation 2 and Windows)
- Collect - Garfield must eat all the lasagnas in each area.
- Dance - Garfield must dance in rhythm by pressing the arrow keys when they appear in circles.
- Challenge - Garfield must break all the vases in a small part of an area before time runs out.
- Fly - Christophe must fly through rings in order before time runs out.
- Mouse - Claudius must roll a marble into a machine to unlock another part of an area.
- Time - Garfield must collect 150 blue stopwatches before time runs out.
- Pursuit - Garfield must keep up with Preston while they pursue each other.
Gameplay
You play as Garfield in all versions; however, you can switch characters in the PlayStation 2 and Windows versions (to Christophe and Claudius). The gameplay loosely follows the plot of the movie.
In the Nintendo DS version, Garfield must travel all through England to get to the castle in time for dinner. Along the way, you may collect various food items, such as hero sandwiches, burgers, and soft drinks. These are not important to the game, but add interest. The game consists of 23 levels (One being an introduction of sorts), and there is a time attack mode for some levels
