Garrett Wilson (born May 30, 1991) is a Canadian professional ice hockey Winger. He is currently playing for the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect for the Florida Panthers in the National Hockey League (NHL). Wilson was selected by the Panthers in the 4th round (107th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
Wilson played major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League, and competed for the 2011 Memorial Cup as a member of the Owen Sound Attack. His outstanding play during the 2010–11 OHL season was recognized when he was named to the OHL First All-Star Team.[1]
On June 1, 2011, the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League signed Wilson to an entry level contract.[2] Wilson grew up with Jamie Aplin from the book Up up and away by Jonah Keri, a book on the Montreal Expos
