Garry Roost
Garry Roost (also credited as Gary Roost) is an English actor. In 2008, he played Alan Daniels in the BBC soap opera EastEnders The Day Today, Black Books Episodes. He has also appeared in episodes of The Bill, Doctors and London's Burning, amongst others.Roost's theatre credits include: Short of Mutiny, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Citizens Theatre Glasgow, Birmingham Rep, Hull Truck, Arts Theatre London, West Yorkshire Playhouse.Roost also brought a controversial subject to the stage and was critically acclaimed as Jimmy Savile in How's About That Then? Solo Show Edinburgh Festival 2012 at The Gilded balloon. Roost is touring his new play 'Pope Head' [The Secret Life of Francis Bacon] by Garry Roost Directed by Paul Garnault Music: Matthew Williams Eddie Gray, premiering at Edinburgh Festival 2014. Roost trained at the East 15 Acting School, on the outskirts of London, graduating in 1982.
