Gashmeer Mahajani or Gashmeer is an Indian film actor, dancer and play director. He is known for his work in Marathi cinema. He is the son of Marathi film actor Ravindra Mahajani.[1][2][3]

Gashmeer debuted with P. Som Shekar's Hindi film Muskurake Dekh Zara (2010), although only 2015 did he achieve popularity, when Carry On Maratha, which was his Marathi film debut and Deool Band were released.[4][5]

Career

Gashmeer began his film career with the 2010 romance, Muskurake Dekh Zara. He then took a break from the industry and immersed himself in theatre, acting at Prithvi Theatre in Mumbai for four years. He also directed Marathi plays.

He made his Marathi film debut in 2015 with Sanjay Londe's Carry On Maratha opposite Kashmira Kulkarni. Gashmehjger's dad Ravindra Mahajani made a guest appearance in the movie.[6] He then appeared in Deool Band opposite Girija Joshi.[7]

Personal life

Mahajani is son of the Famous Marathi film actor Ravindra Mahajani. His education includes studies at Abhinava Vidyalaya in his hometown of Pune, followed by studies at BMCC Pune. He worked at Prithvi Theatre in Mumbai for four years. He also runs an academy for contemporary dance training and martial arts and has also directed a few marathi nataks.[8]

He married Gauri Deshmukh on 28 December 2014.
