Gateside is a small village in the north east of Fife, Scotland. It is inhabited by around 200 people. It also comprises a school, a park, seven-a-side football pitch, a village shop, a pub (The Gateside Inn), the Gateside Memorial Hall and a garage (the Minimart). Gateside won a Tesco Magazine competition in 2012 and was named the "Friendliest Street in the UK."

The River Eden runs through the village, which flows to St Andrews and then into the North Sea. The nearest large city is Perth, although Edinburgh is only half an hour away by car. Gateside has a school football team and beat A primary school 3-2 at home in 2009. Gateside is a truly amazing place with amazing scenery, people and a great community.
