Gavara

Gavara are one of the many small communities or castes of Andhra who live mostly in the north coastal districts.

Balija community, an immigrant Telugu speaking caste Hindu of Kerala , had been availing of all the benefits earmarked for Scheduled Castes over the last 30 years or so under the name of Kavara.[1]

In common with many other communities, the Gavara often use the title Naidu.[2]
