Gavin Mitchell (born 16 December 1964) is a Scottish actor and comedian.

He is best known as "Boaby The Barman" in Scottish sitcom Still Game, Aneliese in the soap opera Hollyoaks and various roles in sketch show Velvet Soup. He previously played the character of Winston Ingram in the stage show Still Game. When the play made its transition into television, comedian Paul Riley from Still Games predecessor Chewin' The Fat was cast as Winston instead, with Mitchell taking his current role.

Mitchell also appeared in the drama series Monarch of the Glen as PC Callum McIntyre, and in the BBC Scotland Series Empty. In 2009, Mitchell starred in the comedy Happy Hollidays. In 2011, he played a major part in the festival set You Instead and The Field of Blood. Also he appeared as Edward Lamsbottom a GDHQ worker in the MI High Series 7 two part finale We Need To Talk About Kortex and 'The Last Stand'. He also voiced the KORPS leader, the Mastermind in Series 7 taking over from veteran actor Brian Cox (actor)

Mitchell is a fan of David Bowie and associate of the band Colonel Mustard and the Dijon 5. At a concert at Glasgow Barrowlands on Saturday 5 March 2016 he accepted Bowie's posthumous induction into the Barrowland Hall of Fame. The award would then be passed to Bowie's management.[1]
