Gavin Thornbury is an Irish professional rugby union player, who plays in the second-row position for Irish province Leinster. After completing three years in the Leinster academy upon leaving school, he was granted a fully professional development contract for the 2015-16 season.[2] He previously played for the Ireland national under-20 rugby union team in the Junior World Championship and u-20 Six Nations tournaments, and also represented Leinster at underage level. He is an ex-pupil of famed rugby nursery Blackrock College.
