Gazmend Oketa (born 14 December 1968 in Durrës District, Albania) was the Albanian Minister of Defense. He succeeded Fatmir Mediu on 22 March 2008. He was formerly Deputy Prime Minister. He was replaced on 17 September 2009 by Arben Imami. In May 2012 Oketa with a group of Democratic Party create a new party in Albania the New Democratic Spirit (in Albanian: Fryma e Re Demokratike) called by Albanian media "The Party of President" referring to Bamir Topi.
