Gdańsk Wrzeszcz is a railway station in Gdańsk, Poland. The station is located in the Wrzeszcz quarter of the city.

General information

The station operates two platforms, of which one serves as the SKM stop Gdańsk Wrzeszcz. Access to the platforms is made through two underground passages. The ticket offices are open all day. Public access to the station is easiest by car and taxi via Dmowskiego St. or by city bus (the railway station is adjacent to the Wrzeszcz bus terminus). City tram lines running through Wrzeszcz are a five-minute walk away.

Station building

The current station building, which is located on 1A Dmowskiego St. Was built in the 1970s, is a modernist building. Inside the structure are the ticket office, a bakery and several press outlets.

History

The old red brick station building can still be seen near the bus stops, where it has been converted to residential flats. A very similar station building is still operational at the Gdańsk Oliwa station.
