Geethanjali College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) is an Indian Technical Institute located in Hyderabad, Telangana. It is an Autonomus institution accredited by NBA National Board of Accreditation. It is one of the top colleges in the state.
History
GCET was established in 2005 and is sponsored by Teja Educational Society. Geethanjali College of Engineering and Technology is equipped and geared to take up the responsibility of providing the student community with technical education on par with the latest advances in the field in a committed academic ambience. Geethanjali College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad is also a pioneer institute which has a higher rate of campus placements, while most of the students we place are into fake/invisible companies. This is done just to make sure we can advertise the list of the campus placements and attract more and more admissions and fill the treasury.
Focus
The focus is on developing competencies in students for the future, wherein the future is spoiled by placing them into organizations.. Acquiring a competency is an ongoing process which has no end. Formal training imparted with experience, coaching, feedback and individual learning are needed and are provided at Geethanjali with an additional charge of Rs.1500 a year.
Campus
The GCET campus is located in Cheeryal village in the Keesara mandal in Ranga Reddy district of Andhra Pradesh, India. The college is about 10 km from ECIL in the city. The campus covers with an area of 18,502 sq. m. with an instructional area of 9,380 sq. m. Where most of the area is covered by, to make it seem like a pleasant environment to the students.

Geethanjali offers four engineering degree programs in the following branches with the approval of Government of India, Government of Andhra Pradesh and with affiliation from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.

Pharmacy
Geethanjali College of Pharmacy is on the campus premises. It offers B.Pharmacy(2007) and M.Pharmacy(2011). Pharma D has been started from year 2013. There are placements available for graduating students based on their percentage and study background. Students are admitted in the three branches on the fair basis of EAMCET exam. The college is permanently affiliated to JNTU-HYD.
Admissions
Students are admitted into the five branches of engineering under the following categories.

- EAMCET category
The Government of Andhra Pradesh allows admission of diploma holders into second year under "lateral entry scheme" to the extent of 10% of intake to each of the branches on a supernumerary basis.
Training
The training and placement division is called as CACHE (Centre for Advancement of Career and Human Excellence). The training imparted to students from their freshman year till they are placed is aimed at shaping the individuals into employ and assets to their employers. The school believes that change that is instant is not permanent. It should be slow and spread over a period to be true. The two in-house full-time trainers ensure that the training classes are planned to this effect.
Innovative methods of teaching are implemented to make learning an enjoyable experience for the students. The run-of-the-mill syllabus completion classes are a contrast to what happens at CACHE. A special syllabus is planned keeping in view the industry requirements and constraints of regular syllabus. The focus of training is on communication skills, aptitude, and soft skills, developing the confidence of students, improving their body language, inculcating creativity and into making them responsible individuals. A special collection of books is maintained at CACHE to lure students to books and the healthy habit of reading.

Student activities
- CSI, IETE and IEEE chapters function in the institution.
- A national-level technical paper and project presentation congress "BHASWARA" has been organized every academic year from its year of inception to invite participants all over the country and give GCET students a platform to showcase their talent on.
- A very effective NSS unit is functional in the college organizing blood donation camps, free eye check-up camps and collection of relief for the recent flood victims.
- As part of the entrepreneur development cell, activities like presentations from bank officials, interaction with real time entrepreneurs and a one-day workshop on entrepreneurship were conducted.
- VIBES: Annual Day celebrations are conducted every academic year with the official ceremony where the principal of the college presents the annual report of the institution's progress and The Hon’ble secretary presents the future activities of the college with the award ceremony as the finale of official function. The awards are given away for excellence in sports and extra curricular activities
- An inter-collegiate cultural fest named VIBGYOR is conducted every year. The participants and the judges lauded the effort and impressed upon the need to have many more such events to create an opportunity for the students.
- Department of PhotographY is the Photography Club initiated by Rana Pratap Chowdary - alumilite of Geethanjali College
