Gelsenkirchen-Buer Nord station is located in the city of Gelsenkirchen in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is on the Wuppertal-Vohwinkel–Essen-Überruhr line. The station was opened in 1998[2] and is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 6 station.[1]

The station is served by Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn line S 9 (HalternWuppertal), operating every 60 minutes during the day.[3]

It is also served by three bus routes operated by Vestische Straßenbahnen: 210, 222 and 244 at 30 minute intervals. It is also served by route SB28, operated by Busverkehr Rheinland at 30 minute intervals.[3]
