The Genesee Valley Transportation Company, based in Batavia, New York, is a holding company for several short-line railroads located in New York and Pennsylvania. It was founded by Jeffrey Baxter, Charles Riedmiller, John Hildebrand, Michael Thomas and David Monte Verde who continue to make up its corporate ownership.
