George Gross (January 26, 1941 – April 27, 2010) was an American Professional Football defensive tackle in the American Football League. He played five seasons (70 games) for the AFL's San Diego Chargers. He joined the Chargers' outstanding defensive line, first known as the "Fearsome Foursome", playing with DEs Bob Petrich and Earl Faison and his opposite number, DT Ernie Ladd. He was born in Vajola, Hungary (Weilau in his native German; now Uila, Romania) and died in Fairhope, Alabama.
