George Patterson (1887 - 1955) was a football manager and secretary who was involved with Liverpool F.C. for much of the first half of the 20th century. After a playing career spent mostly with Marine F.C., Patterson joined Liverpool in 1908, as assistant to Tom Watson. After a spell as club secretary, he was appointed Manager in 1928, replacing Matt McQueen. His spell as manager was not successful, however, and resigned in 1936, citing ill health. He continued on as club secretary.
