Geraldus d'Anduze

Gerald of Anduze was a French prelate and bishop of Nîmes in the eleventh century.[1][2]

Geraud was the son of Bernard Pelet, Lord of Anduze, and Ermengarde, his first wife. He belonged to one of the oldest families of Languedoc. His brother Fredol was bishop of Puy.

Like his predecessor Frotaire, Geraud gave all his attention to the restoration of the monastic order. A Psalmodi exists giving thanks to the virtues of his religious and secular pious munificence He also extendedd jurisdiction over an abbey of Saint-Geniez.
