Gerrit Wolsink (born 1947 in Hengelo, Gelderland) is a Dutch former professional Grand Prix motocross racer who competed in motocross Grand Prix world championships in the 1970s. He is best remembered for being a five-time winner of the 500cc United States Grand Prix of motocross.[1][2]
A dentist by training, Gerrit Wolsink chose a career in motorcycle racing.[2] He began competing on the Grand Prix motocross circuit on a Maico motorcycle as a privateer. In 1974 he was offered a spot on the Suzuki factory racing team as Roger De Coster's team-mate. He finished third in the 500cc world championship in 1975 and 1977 and second in 1976 and 1979.[3]
