Gettysburg: Armored Warfare (sometimes written as Gettysburg: Armoured Warfare) is a hybrid real-time strategy/third-person shooter video game, developed by Radioactive Software and published by Paradox Interactive. The game was released in March 2012 worldwide on Microsoft Windows through Valve's Steam service.
Gameplay
Gettysburg: Armored Warfare uses a gameplay system that combines real-time strategy and third-person shooter elements. The player commands a whole army consisting of groups of air, sea and land units, but is also able to zoom in to control single units.
The game is a multiplayer only game with support for up to 64 players per server. Players are able to create armies and save them to their Steam accounts to be loaded and used later.
Plot
A man from the year 2060 travels back in time to the American Civil War bringing weapons from his time, that he gives to the Confederate forces in the hope of changing the future of America.
Reception
Reviews of the game at launch were overwhelmingly negative, with many reviewers criticizing the game's unfinished state, common game-breaking bugs, poor graphics and lack of tutorial. The game currently holds a Metacritic average score of 22/100.[1]
