Ghalib Danger is a 2013 novel by Author Neeraj Pandey best known for Writing and Directing the critically acclaimed movies A Wednesday and Special 26.[1] He won the National Award for A Wednesday.[2]

Plot summary

Ghalib Danger revolves around the life of its main protagonist Kamran Ali. A young taxi driver by profession, Kamran stays in Mumbai and dreams of making it big someday. However a twist of fate awaited him as on an eventful day his life transforms when he saves the life of a notorious underworld don from called Mirza. As an act of gratitude, Mirza takes Kamran under his tutelage. This begins the life of transformation for the young taxi driver who gets drawn into the mafia boss’s murky world of cops and rival gangsters, eventually takes over from him. Apart from his throne, Kamran also inherits Mirza’s philosophy that all of life’s problems can be solved through Ghalib’s poetry. Soon, Kamran becomes the city’s most feared don with even the cops and politicians fearing him. It’s this when he gets his titular character’s name, Ghalib Danger.[3]

Ghalib Danger was launched on 6 December 2013 at the Times of India Literary Carnival in at Mehboob Studio, Bandra, Mumbai.[4] The book was launched by actor Anupam Kher in an event attended by actors Shriya Saran, Divya Dutta, Manoj Bajpayee & Anup Soni. Hussain Zaidi, author of Dongri to Dubai and Black Friday and the co-founder of Blue Salt was also present at the event.[5] Since then the book has received
