Qasre Abunasr

Qasre Abunasr ( Abu-Nasr Palace) or Takht e Sulayman ( Throne of Solomon) is the name of remained constructions situated in city of Shiraz in the Fars province of Iran. According to archaeological studies the fortress built in Parthian Empire and was important and strategic location in Sassanid Empire. Archaeologists found various drachmas and art crafts belonged to different historical periods such as Achaemenid, Seleucid Empire, Parthian and Sassanid. This palace is recorded in Iranian historical list in 1932 in the name of Takht e Sulayman ( Throne of Solomon). When Muslims invade Iran and conquered it they called this palace as Father of Victory.[1]

Name of Shiraz

One of the palace in this fortress named Shiraz than the name of Shiraz in modern Iran comes from this palace.
