Ghonda[1] is a Legislative Assembly district of Delhi, India. It is an affluent residential area of North East Delhi district. Shri Dutt Sharma is the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) of this area. Manoj Tiwari is the member of national Lok Sabha (Parliament) from this area.
Background
Ghonda covers a major area of trans Yamuna like Subhash Vihar, North Ghonda, Bhajnpura, Karawal Nagar, Gamri.
Politics
The former MLA of this area was Sahab Singh Chauhan (Bharatiya Janata Party, BJP), but in the assembly election of 2015 this seat has won by Shri Dutt Sharma. In 2003 Lok Sabha election it elected Sandeep Dixit (INC), but in the 2009 Lok Aabha election North East Delhi elected Jai Prakash Aggrawal. And in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Manoj Tiwari of Bhartiya Janta Party was elected as the Member of Parliament.
